Adenomyosis is a condition in which the size of the uterus increases due to abnormally present endometrial tissue.
It is known to occur in 1 out of every 3 to 4 women over the age of 40.
It is often found in women of childbearing age between 35 and 50.
Adenomyosis typically causes menstrual pain, excessive menstruation, and anemia.
Serious symptoms that significantly affect physical activity, such as urgent urination due to pressure on the bladder, and infertility, may also appear.
However, if the glandular tissue is localized only within the muscle layer, pain may occur without changes in menstrual blood.
